With only one tournament under their belt, the Cerritos College women's water polo team embarked on their South Coast  Conference schedule Wednesday afternoon. The Falcons (0-5, 0-1) slipped into an early 6-1 deficit and never recovered, as they dropped a 12-4 decision to visiting Chaffey College at the Falcon Aquatic Center. The team will now travel to Chaffey this weekend for a tournament, and have a pair of games slated for Friday and Saturday.

In the loss to the Panthers, sophomore Carla Harvey (Potomac Falls, VA HS) accounted for most of the offense, as she scored three of the team's four goals. Additionally, Harvey registered seven steals, with freshman Breanna Zuniga (California HS) scoring the other goal and posted three steals.

Freshman Samantha Cruz (Montebello HS) had a hand in two of the goals with assists, with freshman goalkeeper Kristin Park (Cerritos HS) making 10 saves on the day.
