M. Water Polo: Cerritos records 14-4 conference win

In their final regular season match, the Cerritos College men's water polo team posted a 14-4 South Coast Conference win over host Chaffey College. The Falcons (14-12, 4-1) will be the #2-seeded team in the conference tournament, which will take place at Rio Hondo College next Thursday through Saturday.

In the win over the Panthers (7-14, 2-3), eight different players scored for the Falcons, with freshman Michael Hanna (Cerritos HS) leading the team with four goals, Cerritos led from the outset, which allowed them to use their depth on the bench, as five players accounted for one goal each, with eight players posting at least one assist.

The team's leading scorer, sophomore Miguel Garcia (Montebello HS) added three goals, giving him 64 on the season, with the trio of freshman Eugene Lee (Hacienda Heights Wilson HS), sophomore Randy Baldwin (Buena Park HS/Fullerton College) and Garcia all recording a pair of assists.

Freshman goalkeeper Michael Asendorf (Sunny Hills HS) saw most of the action in net and made seven saves to go along with a pair of steals, while freshman Joseph Owens (Kennedy HS) made one save in his time in goal.
