Sophomore Carolina Jaramillo (Cetis 54, Tijuana HS) has played in just eight games this season for the Cerritos College women's soccer team. In those games, the Falcons have scored 45 goals, with Jaramillo playing a roll in 23 (10 goals, 13 assists) of them. On Tuesday, Jaramillo had two goals and three assists in the first half, as Cerritos posted a 9-1 South Coast Conference South Division win over Los Angeles Harbor College. The Falcons (18-1-0, 7-0-0) have one regular season game remaining and will travel to El Camino College for a 1:00 p.m. contest.

Jaramillo played a roll in five of the team's six first-half goals against the Seahawks (8-10-2, 1-6-0). In the 10th minute, she sent a hard shot that bounced over the head of goalkeeper Nitzia Gastillo to open the scoring. After sophomore Natalie de Leon (St. Joseph HS) gave the team a 2-0 lead in the 21st minute when she chipped in a centering pass from sophomore Amber Whitmore (Los Alamitos HS), it was a 3-0 game in the 29th minute after Jaramillio rolled a shot past a diving Gastillo on a pass from sophomore Cheyenne De Los Reyes (Santa Monica HS/Santa Monica College).

A little over three minutes later, De Los Reyes finished the play and scored after Jaramillo stole the ball and quickly sent a lead pass, which led to the goal. Freshman Itzel Ballesteros (Maywood Academy HS) scored the next two goals on passes from Jaramillo for their 6-0 lead at halftime.

In the second half, de Leon picked up her second goal of the game when she finished a play by scoring into the upper corner, with Ballesteros earning the assist. Whitmore broke free from the LA Harbor defenders and scored into an open net when freshman Gissell Gutierrez (Dominguez HS) spotted her after controlling the ball for the eighth goal. The scoring concluded in the 82nd minute when freshman Maria Hernandez (Sierra Vista HS) worked the ball to sophomore Ashli Villalobos (Mayfair HS/Cal State Los Angeles), who scored into an open net.

Freshman Arianna Armijo (North HS) played the entire game in goal and posted two saves, with the lone goal she allowed coming in the 50th minute when a shot cleared just under the crossbar.
