Although they didn't repeat as the CCCAA State Champion, the Cerritos College women's track and field team finished a strong second place. The Falcons, who saw freshman thrower Destiny Mack-Talalemotu (Long Beach Millikan HS) win a pair of state championships, finished with 75 team points and trailed only host Mt. San Antonio College, who concluded with 88 team points. Cerritos held off Riverside City College, who came in third place with 73 team points.

In addition to her pair of state championships in the discus and shot put, Mack-Talalemotu took second place in the javelin with a distance of 40.06 meters, to account for 28 of the Falcons points. One of the most versatile athletes in Cerritos history, Alexus Dalton (Long Beach Poly HS) concluded her career by scoring points in four of the five events in which she competed. A favorite to win the heptathlon, Dalton came in third place after being charged with fouls on her three javelin attempts and did not score any points for the event. Had she even come close to her best throw, she would have easily outdistanced the field for a repeat state championship.

As a freshman, Dalton won the state title in the high jump, but settled for third place this year, while she also came in second place in the long jump for the second season in a row. She turned in a time of 13.94 to come in third place in the 100-meter HH after earning a second place finish her freshman season, Over the course of the two-day state championships, Dalton accounted for 26 team points.

Sophomore Angelyca Osnaya-Tyson (Long Beach Poly HS) took eighth place in the 1500 meters, but her time of 4:46.26 was the fourth best in school history. The 1600-meter relay team of Ashley Sinkler (Long Beach Wilson HS), Citlaly Fabela (La Serna HS), N'kechi Odili-Obi (Crenshaw HS) and Killie King (Mayfair HS) posted a fifth place time of 3:49.46.
