Competing at the Riverside Early Bird Meet, the Cerritos College women's track and field team won four events and placed second in four other events. The Falcons will be hosting their lone meet of the season on Friday at the Cerritos Open.

Freshman Aryianna Faircloth picked up a pair of first place finishes at the meet and also ran a leg of the second place 1600-meter relay team. In the long jump, Faircloth led a trio of Cerritos athletes who took the top three positions. Her distance of 5.13 was good enough for first place, while Jordan Murphy was second at 5.09 meters, with Jazzmine Davis a close third at 5.06 meters. Faircloth's clocking of 40.36 was good enough to win the 300 meters, with the Falcons also posting the top time in the 600 meters. Murphy won the event at 1:41.78 and saw Davis turn in a second place time of 9.09 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.

Cerritos also took second place in a pair of relay races, with the quarter of Davis, Faircloth, Charlotte Barrera and Sophie Lopez registering a time of 4:04.42 in the 1600 meter relay. In the 3200-meter relay, Barrera was joined by Tyshay Johnson, Lopez and Gia McLin to record a time of 10:39.73.

The field events were peppered with a pair of Cerritos names, with Angelina Escobar and Faitalia Ah-Fook both performing well. Escobar won the discus at 37.51 meters, with Ah-Fook taking fifth place at 32.94 meters. In two other events, Escobar finished one spot ahead of Ah-Fook, which included the shot put and hammer. Escobar took third in the shot put at 10.53 meters, followed by Ah-Fook at 10.41 meters, while in the hammer, Escobar posted a fourth place distance of 39.01 meters with Ah-Fook right behind at 38.32 meters.
