The Cerritos College volleyball team dispatched host Los Angeles Harbor College quickly on Friday in their South Coast Conference match, 25-10, 25-18, 25-12. The Falcons (6-9, 3-4) will now travel to Los Angeles Trade-Tech College on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. contest.

In the win over the Seahawks (2-9, 1-6), the team was very succesful at the net and spread out their offense, with 10 different players recording at least one kill. Cerritos also added nine service aces, with freshman setter Michelle Barba (Downey HS) posting three aces to go along with her 17 assists. Freshman Jasmynne Roberts (Long Beach Poly HS) led the team with eight kills and six digs, while also accounting for a pair of aces. Missing sophomore libero Ashley Castro (Santa Fe HS) for the second straight match, freshman Nicole Spigner (La Mirada HS) assumed the role and had a pair of assists and digs along with a kill.

At the net, sophomore Chelsea James (La Mirada HS) posted six kills, with the tandem of freshman Sara Hickman (La Mirada HS) and Brianna Gutierrez (St. Matthias HS) each added five kills, with freshmen Celesterial Edwards (Long Beach Poly HS) and Valerie Montoya (La Mirada HS) contributing four apiece.
