Cerritos College sophomore shortstop Camille Manzo (La Habra HS) has signed a National Letter of Intent with the University of Charleston, located in West Virginia. Manzo, the Falcons starting shortstop, is the second player to sign with a four-year school. She joins catcher Jesseca Martinez (Lakewood HS), who signed with Grace (NE) University prior to the start of the season.

Camille Manzo signs NLI with University of Charleston (WV) This season, Manzo is batting .382 with eight doubles, two home runs and 19 RBI and is third on the team with nine stolen bases. She spent the majority of the season as a third baseman, but moved to shortstop and has committed just one error since she made the switch nine games ago.

Manzo played her freshman season at Sterling (KS) University and batted .263, while leading them with 20 stolen bases and drove in 19 runs.

She will be joining a Golden Eagles team that is currently 42-7 and riding a 22-game wining streak. The team has set a new school record for most wins in a season. They are an NCAA Division II school that plays their games in the Mountain East Conference (MEC) South Division and currently clinched the division title with a 29-3 record. They will be starting their conference tournament this weekend.
