A trio of Cerritos College men's basketball players were named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference South Division, with another earning Honorable Mention. Sophomores Dorian Harris (Cerritos HS) and Juice Belvin (St. Anthony HS) were joined by freshman Jalen Shores (Lakewood HS) on the 1st Team, with freshman Malik Johnson (Compton HS) receiving honorable mention recognition.

Harris, a two-time 1st Team selection has averaged 13.2 points a game to lead the Falcons, while his 84.0% free throw percentage lead the entire conference through the regular season. Additionally, Harris leads the team with a 6.1 rebounding average, and is pacing the team with 47 three-pointers. Over the course of the season, Harris scored a career-high 31 points against College of the Desert, while he has eclipsed the 20-point mark seven other times. He posted a season-high 13 rebounds against Rio Hondo College and in the following game, he recorded a double-double against Los Angeles Harbor College with 28 points and 11 rebounds.

Second on the team with an 11.2 scoring average, Belvin had a two-game stretch where he scored 59 points coming off the bench and had scored in double-figures in 15 games this season. He has missed four games with injuries and played in only three minutes in another game. He has also been a great contributor on the boards and is averaging 5.0 rebounds a game, which includes a career-high 13 caroms against Compton College and is averaging 8.3 rebounds a game since returning from injury six games ago.

Serving as both a point guard and shooting guard, Shores (pictured, left) averaged 10.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and a team-high 2.3 assists a game. In the final 10 regular season games, Shores has come through by averaging 12.8 points a game, which includes double-diit scoring in eight of those games.

As for Johnson, he has started in26 of the team's 27 games and averages 8.2 points with 3.3 rebounds a game. He recorded consecutive 20-point games against Los Angeles Southwest College (22) and Rio Hondo College (21) and shot a combined 17-of-29 in those games. Johnson also had a season-high six rebounds against LA Southwest and has recorded five rebounds in five other games. Against College of the Desert, Johnson posted nine points, a season-high seven assists and six rebounds.
