The Cerritos College men's tennis team continued their winning ways, as they handed visiting Mt. San Antonio College a 9-0 South Coast Conference defeat on Tuesday. The Falcons (9-1, 1-0), winners of six straight matches, will host El Camino College in a 2:00 p.m. conference match on Thursday.

Although several players have been fighting off some nagging injuries, it didn't prevent them from sweeping singles play to clinch the team win heading into doubles action. In two of the three doubles matches, Cerritos was extended to extra points, with Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya) and Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya) pulling out a 9-8 win in the #1 position. As for freshmen Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Argentina) and Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia), they recorded a 9-7 victory.

But by then, the Falcons had already won the match. Kagoma remained undefeated on the year with his 6-4, 6-2 decision, while freshman Antonio Torrebella-Clark (Cypress HS) registered a convincing 6-1, 6-2 victory in the #3 position. Lombardi (6-3, 6-2), Ayesiga (6-1, 6-2) and Antoniuk (6-0, 6-4) all win in straight sets, as did freshman Mathieu David (Nimes, France) with his 6-2 6-4 decision.
