Long Beach Millikan HS: Placed fifth in the CIF Championships in the high jump as a senior, while he won the Moore League title as a senior, junior and freshman… Recorded a personal best height of 6’ 6”… Spent four years on the track and field team and three seasons with the basketball team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he cleared 6’ 6” for the first time at the Moore League Championships… Would like to transfer to either Cal State Los Angeles or Cal State Long Beach… Hobbies include riding dirt bikes… Nicknamed “Gio”… His brother Armando (21), was his teammate in 2020… Has another sibling and Melissa (19)… Is the son of Armando and Maria Tabales… Born in Mexico on June 20, 2000…..
