Along with being named 1st Team All-South Coast Conference a receiving the Nancy Kelly Athletic Scholarship, Cerritos College second baseman Alexxa Sanabria has signed a scholarship to continue her education and playing career at Mayville (ND) State University. She will be joined by outfielder Courtney Priddie, who earned 2nd Team all-conference honors as a freshman. The two join Falcon teammate Maiya Tallakson, who signed a scholarship with Clark (IA) University recently.

According to Mayville State head coach, Tracy Marback on the school's website, "Alexxa is a true athlete that will bring excitement defensively and will also serve as an offensive power as well for the Comets, while Courtney is a natural outfielder that will really add speed defensively and on the base paths."

As a sophomore, Sanabria batted .408 with four home runs, 41 RBI, 17 doubles and a .662 slugging percentage after a freshman year where she hit at a .349 clip with 12 doubles and 33 RBI. As for Priddie, she hit .230 with two home runs and 15 RBI to go along with eight stolen bases and scored 29 runs. That came on the heels of hitting .333 as a freshman with two home runs and 21 RBI with five stolen bases.

In 2012, Mayville State went 16-23 on the year and compete in the Dakota Athletic Conference. They lose nine players to graduation, with Sanabria looking to take over the second baseman position and Priddie a spot in the outfield.
