Cerritos College sophomore first baseman Andrea Arellano (Downey HS) has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-American team. Arellano, who also received All-Southern California recognition, as well as 1st Team All-South Coast Conference honors, is the 13th player in Falcon history to earn All-American honors.

Arellano batted .417 on the year and led the team in at-bats (120), runs scored (38), home runs (11) and RBI (53), while she was second among starters in slugging percentage (.758) and third in walks with 24. Her home run total is tied for the sixth most in a season, while her 53 RBI are the sixth most and she tied for ninth in walks in one season.

The Falcons finished the season 30-12 overall and placed second in the South Coast Conference before being eliminated in the first round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs by San Diego Mesa College.
