On the second day of the Riverside City Tournament, the Cerritos College women's water polo team picked up one win in two games. The Falcons (7-3) posted a 12-4 win over Allan Hancock College and then dropped a 17-3 decision to the host Tigers. The team will now resume South Coast Conference play when they travel to  Pasadena City College for a 3:00 p.m. match on Wednesday.

Cerritos vs. Allan Hancock: Sophomore Channon Owens (Kennedy HS) scored the game's first three goals, as the Falcons jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. That would be enough of a cushion, as the team rolled to a comfortable win. Along with Owens, freshman Isabella Sierra (California HS) posted three goals, with sophomore Jenny Parra (Schurr HS) recording five assists. Sierra also led the team with six steals, with sophomore Mikaela Padilla (Schurr HS) contributing five steals and two goals. Freshman goalkeeper Ivanna Tostado (Troy HS) played the first two quarters and made five saves, with freshman Dulce Medina (Paramount HS) recording five saves in the second half.

Cerritos vs. Riverside City: Against one of the top teams in the state, the Falcons struggled to get started and fell behind, 6-2 in the first period and trailed 10-2 by intermission. In the game, Cerritos turned the ball over 18 times, which hurt their chances, while Parra, Sierra and sophomore Vanessa Hinojosa (Bell Gardens HS) each scored once.
