The Cerritos College men's tennis team improved to 3-0 on the year with a convincing 9-0 non-conference win over visiting Cypress College on Tuesday. The Falcons, ranked #3 in Southern California, will travel to Irvine Valley College on Thursday for a 2:00 p.m. match.

On the day, Cerritos surrendered just one game in doubles play and only eight games combined in singles competition. Two of the doubles teams won, 8-0, while three of the six singles matches ended with 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Playing in the top doubles position for the second time this season, freshman Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia) and Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Argentina) were joined by sophomore Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya) and freshman Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya), who posted 8-0 scores. Lombardi and Ayesiga also shut out their opponent in singles play with 6-0, 6-0 scores.

Freshman Mathieu Davis (Nimes, France) won his #4 singles match 6-0, 6-0, while Antoniuk lost just one game in his #5 singles match. Kagoma recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win at the top of the ladder, while sophomore Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indija, Serbia) posted a 6-2, 6-1 win in his first match of the season in the #2 spot. Zoric and David also teamed up for an 8-1 win in doubles.
