In a non-conference match against host Saddleback College on Thursday, the Cerritos College men's tennis team posted a 7-2 win. The Falcons (7-1), winners of four straight matches, will go back on the road Friday to face Orange Coast College (6-0) in a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match.

In singles, play, the team welcomed back freshman Antonio Torrebella-Clark (Cypress HS), who missed the last match due to a family matter. He played exceptionally well in his 6-0, 6-4 singles win in the #2 position on the ladder. The team will don black ribbons in the match against the Pirates in the memory of his grandfather, who passed away.

Joining Torrebella-Clark in straight set wins were sophomore Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya), who posted a 6-4, 6-3 win at the top of the ladder, while freshmen Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia) posted a 6-1, 6-2 win and Mathieu David (Nimes, France) won, 6-4, 6-4. Freshman Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Agrentina) needed three sets to defeat Jake Stivers, 6-3, 5-7, 10-3.

Kagoma and freshman Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya) played another tough doubles match in the #1 position and posted a 9-7 win, as did David and sophomore Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Idija, Serba) in the #3 match.
