With the Cerritos College men's tennis team playing matches on consecutive days, head coach Alvin Kim made a decision to sit a couple of players in their South Coast Conference match on Thursday. The decision didn't hurt the Falcons at all, as they defeated El Camino College, 8-1 for their seventh win in a row. On Friday, Cerritos (10-1, 3-0) will host San Diego Mesa College (8-0) in a 2:00 p.m. non-conference match.

The Falcons only competed with five singles players, which accounted for the lone Warriors (1-7, 0-2) team point. All five of the other singles matches were straight set wins for Cerritos, while all three doubles matches resulted in 8-2 wins.

In two of the singles conpetitions, the Falcons posted 6-0, 6-0 wins, as freshman Mathieu David (Nimes, France) and Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya) each moved up the ladder into the #2 and #3 positions, respectively. At the top of the ladder, sophomore Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya) remained undefeated with his 6-0, 6-4 win, while sophomore Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indija, Serbia) improved to 5-0 with a 6-0, 6-3 win in the #5 position. Freshman Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia) posted a 7-5, 6-1 win.

Freshmen Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Argentina) and Antonio Torrebella-Clark (Cypress HS) both sat out of singles action, with Lombardi competing in doubles and teamed with Antoniuk for an 8-2 win.
