In their second match in as many days, the Cerritos College men's tennis team was on their game, as they defeated visiting Palomar College, 9-0 on Friday. The win improved the Falcons record to 3-1, as the #3-ranked team in Southern California will now host Riverside City College at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

With sophomore Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya) sitting out the match, freshman Antonio Torrebella-Clark (Cypress HS) moved into the #1 singles position and posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jonathan Rodriguez. Each player moved up in the ladder, but the Falcons won each in straight sets. Freshman Agustin Lombardi (E.S.O.S., Argentina) recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win, with freshman Henry Ayesiga (Malezi School, Kenya) playing a solid match in his 6-3, 6-3 victory.

The straight set wins continued with freshman Mark Antoniuk (W. 124 School, Russia) winning, 6-4, 6-2 along with freshman Mathieu David (Nimes, France) posting a 6-1, 6-2 decision and sophomore Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indija, Serbia) defeating Evan Davis, 6-1, 6-4.

Doubles action was dominated by Cerritos, as they lost a combined three games in the three matches. Antoniuk and Lombardi played in the top spot and won, 8-2, while Ayesiga and Torrebella-Clark teamed for an 8-1 win. The pairing of David and Zoric resulted in an 8-0 decision.
