M&W Track & Field: Teams announce list of transfers

In a season where the Cerritos College women's track and field team won their third CCCAA State Championship and the men's team placed 16th, the program has released a list of where their student-athletes will be transferring. The list, which is expected to continue growing, currently has 13 women and 15 men moving on to the four-year level.

The currently list includes five women who had a hand in at least one state championship each, led by four-event champion Juanita Webster, who will be transferring to UNLV. Webster won the state championship in the heptathlon (second year in a row), along with the 100-meter HH, long jump and triple jump, Skylin Harbin (400-meter IH), Breanna Curry (high jump & a leg of the 400-meter relay), Lilian Ebanks (leg of the 400-meter relay) and Meka Story (leg of the 400-meter relay).

Harbin will be transferring to Cal State Long Beach, while Ebanks has inked with Colorado State University. Story will be competing at UC Davis next season, while Curry is still weighing her options. Also moving on to Cal State Long Beach are Crystal Rodriguez, who placed third in the hammer, Giselle Burgos and Kassandra Herrera. The duo of Adriana Velasco and Da'Myah Ward will be moving on to Cal State Los Angeles, with Jamie Monaco (Cal State East Bay) and Suyan Carcedo (Cal Poly Pomona) both staying in the state.

As for Symone Addo, she will be transferring to Western Oregon University, with Brandy Navarro moving on to MidAmerican Nazarene (KS) University.

On the men's side, Jaydon Logan, who came in fourth place at the CCCAA State Championships and ran the anchor leg of the 1600-meter relay team than finished in seventh place, he will me transferring on to USC. State runner-up in the decathlon, Zach Munoz, has signed with Azusa Pacific University, while Blair Robinson has signed with Cal State Long Beach after coming in seventh place in the triple jump and eighth place in the long jump.

Also transferring to Cal State Long Beach are Reginald Winans and Steven Anker, while the quartet of Ryan Lopez, David Williams, Giovanni Rubio and Bryan Kennedy will all be at Cal State Los Angeles next year. Also a member of the 1600-meter relay team, Jhamani Long, has signed with UC Irvine, with Isaiah Chavez moving on to Wichita State University.

As for Jah'mal King, another member of the relay team, he signed with MidAmerican Nazarene (KS) University, with William Troung going to Cal State Fullerton, Erick Ayala moving on to Cal State Stanislaus and Christian Lopez to Hope International University.
