Lakewood HS: Earned the Outstanding Sophomore and Outstanding Freshman awards while on the cross country team… Qualified for the CIF Prelims as a senior and placed 10th at the Moore League Championships with a personal best time of 20:27.6… While on the track and field team, she was a three-year team captain and earned the Outstanding Senior Award… Finished sixth at the league championships in the 1600 meters (5:54.24) and was seventh in 3200 meters (12:45.0)…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when she posted a time of 19:39 at the Bell Gardens Invitational as a senior on the cross country team and when she was the lone senior to qualify for the CIF Prelims that season… Her father ran cross country and track and field in high school and then at Long Beach City College… Hobbies include outdoor activities… Has one sibling – Gael (16)… Is the daughter of Miguel and Paola Chavez… Born in Long Beach, CA on October 15, 2003…..
