Over the weekend, the Cerritos College men's track and field team competed against four-year competition and won two events at the UNLV Invitational. The Falcons saw sophomore hurdler Dario Robinson (Schurr HS) turn in a first place time in the 110-meter HH in 14.53, while freshman Blair Robinson (Kennedy HS) posted a triple jump of 14.78 meters on his last attempt to win the event.

In the 400-meter IH, Dario Robinson finished in third place with a time of 57.58, while sophomore Nick Garcia (St. Anthony HS) turned in a time of 11.08 in the 100 meters for fifth place, and also came in fifth place in the 200 meters with a clocking of 22.33. Sophomore Isaiah Marshall (Carson HS) ran a strong 800 meters, with his time of 1:53.82 putting him in fourth place.

The 1600-meter relay team of Jah'mal King (Bellflower HS), Jahmani Long (Gahr HS), Reginald Winans (Long Beach Poly HS) and Zarin Redfud (Paramount HS) placed third with a time of 3:17.20. In other field events, freshman Nicholas Mendoza (Norwalk HS) cleared 4.25 meters to come in fourth place in the pole vault, while freshman Terrell Coleman (Downey HS) posted a second place long jump of 6.84 meters. In the hammer, sophomore Brian King (Cerritos HS) placed sixth with a distance of 43.51 meters, with sophomore Tristian Escobar (Bell Gardens HS) had a javelin toss of 49.19 meters, good for sixth place.
