Cerritos College women's basketball player Serena Rendon (Carson HS) was voted the South Coast Conference South Division Freshman of the Year. Rendon, who led the division with a 17.9 scoring average, in free throw shooting percentage (85.6) as well as most three-pointers in a game (3.1), helped the Falcons to a tie for second place in the division. Her free throw shooting percentage also leads the state. Joining Rendon on the 1st Team was sophomore Alexis Clark (Mayfair HS), while freshmen Jesenia Rendon (Carson HS) and sophomore Angie Ferreira (Long Beach Millikan HS) were named to the 2nd Team.

Serena Rendon scored 24 points in consecutive divisional games and connected on five three-pointers in a pair of games, while her 94 three-pointers on the year are a school record and tied for the most in the state. Clark, a 2nd Team selection her freshman season, averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds a game in divisional play. She tied a career-record with 22 points against Los Angeles Harbor College and posted double-digit scoring in five of the eight games.

The team's second-leading scorer on the year, Jesenia Rendon produced 11.7 points in divisional play (12.3 overall) and was third on the team with 36 three-pointers. Her 4.3 assist average led the Falcons, while she also averaged 5.3 rebounds a game and lead the team with 50 steals on the year. Rendon capped off the regular season with a 23-point performance against Long Beach City College, which also included a season-high four three-pointers. Another 2nd Team selection her freshman season, Ferreira accounted for 8.1 points a game on the year, along with averaging 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists. A threat from three-point range, Ferreira finished second on the team with 37 three-pointers and converted 72% of her free throws. She scored a divisional-high 10 points against LA Harbor.
