Cerritos College freshman Serena Rendon (Carson HS), who led the team in scoring this season, was named 3rd Team All-State. The South Coast Conference South Division Freshman of the Year is the first Falcon freshman since Monet Andrews in 1999 to be named All-State. Rendon set the school record for most three-pointers in a season (96) and finishes her year leading the state in the same category. Additionally, she led the state in free throw percentage (86.0) after converting 98-of-114 from the charity stripe, which also ranks second on the school's all-time list.

Averaging 17.6 points a game on the year, Rendon posted a pair of 30-point games and 11 20-point games during the season. She capped off the year with 25 points in the team's playoff loss to Palomar College after missing the previous game with an injury. Against San Joaquin Delta College, Rendon produced 31 points on 8-of-13 shooting, with seven of these baskets from three-point range. Her 30-point game against Mt. San Antonio College also included going 7-for-8 from three point range. She also had a seven-game stretch in which she averaged 23.3 points a game.

Her 5.0 rebounds a game were also third on the team and also averaged 1.6 steals and 1.5 assists a game. She eclipsed the double-digit mark in rebounds twice against Los Angeles Southwest College and had a season-high five assists in back-to-back games.
