The Cerritos College men's track and field team won 10 events at the Cerritos Quad on Friday, with three athletes coming in first place in two events each. The Falcons will now enter their distance runners in the Occidental Invitational on Friday, while the remaining athletes will compete in the UC Irvine Five-Way Meet on Saturday.

Earning a pair of wins in field events was freshman Matthew Seawright (Long Beach Millikan HS), who captured the hammer and discus. His distance of 45.34 meters easily defeated the remainder of the field, with Falcons occupying the top five spots. Freshman Alejandro Cuellar (Long Beach Millikan HS) was a distant second place at 38.38 meters, while sophomore Michael Barrett (La Mirada HS) took third place at 36.05 meters. In the discus, Seawright won the event with a throw that went 41.26 meters, with Barrett in third place at 37.42 meters and freshman Andrew Prieto (El Rancho HS) posting a distance of 35.15 meters for fifth place.

Sophomore Adam Aguirre (California HS) came in first place in the high jump when he cleared 2.01 meters, while his javelin throw of 50.92 meters and long jump of 6.79 meters earned him a pair of second place finishes.

In running events, freshman Mackenzi Rickman (Carson HS) won the 110-meter hurdles in a time of 14.96, with freshman teammate Thomas Cheval (Birmingham HS) posting a third place time of 15.46. Rickman also posted the fastest time in the 400-meter IH in 56.06. It was sophomore Terrell White (Washington Prep HS) who earned a pair of wins in running events, as he registered a time of 21.69 in the 200 meters and 47.50 in the 400 meters, with freshman Mike Ewell (Long Beach Wilson HS) taking second in the 400 at 48.44.

Cerritos took the first three spots in the 1500 meters, with sophomore Jonathan Bazinet (California HS) crossing the finish line in 3:57.21 to hold off teammate Francisco Ortiz (Katella HS), who took second place in 3:59.21. Freshman Anthony Lozano (La Serna HS) was third in 4:05.92. 

Jamie Vega (Downey HS) came in second in the triple jump (13.30 meters), while Prieto was second in the shot put (12.88 meters) and Elvis Salinas (Norwalk HS) placed second in the 5000 meters at 15:26.88. The 1600-meter relay team of Travis Thomas, Ewell, George Robinson (Washington Prep HS) and White recorded a first place time of 3:14.39.
