The Cerritos College men's track and field team entered a lot of athletes to compete at the Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College on Saturday. The Falcons won three events and placed second and third in two other events. The team will send their decathletes to the Southern California Decathlon Championships on Tuesday and Wednesday, which will be held at Mt. San Antonio College.

The 1600-meter relay was won by Cerritos, who posted a time of 3:14.08, which was four seconds faster than the second place team. The Falcons entered four teams in the race, with all of them finishing in the top 10. Earning a win in the 800 meters was freshman Francisco Ortiz (Katella HS), who posted a time of 1:54.48, while sophomore Jesus Morales (Huntington Park HS) earned a fourth place finish when he was timed in 1:57.33. The team's other win came in the high jump, with sophomore Adam Aguirre (Cantwell HS) clearing 2.00 meters.
