Cerritos College sophomore Adam Aguirre (Cantwell HS) set the school record in the high jump the first week of the season. On Saturday at the Point Loma Invitational, Aguirre eclipsed his personal best height when he cleared 2.16 meters (7' 1") to win the event. The event win was one of two for Aguirre, while the Falcons won a total of four events and placed second in three others. This weekend, part of the team will travel north to compete in the Stanford Invitational, while other members will head south for the Arnie Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College.

Aguirre also came in first place in the javelin with a distance of 51.69 meters (169' 5 3/4"), while sophomore Terrell White (Washington Prep HS) posted a first place time of 21.61 in the 200 meters. The 400-meter relay team (42.06) and 1600-meter relay team (3:30.16) also came in four place on the day.
