The second member of the Cerritos College men's basketball team has signed a National Letter of Intent. Sophomore center Marquise Scott (Artesia HS) has signed with NAIA Division II University of Antelope Valley. He joins guard Luis Medearis (View Park HS), who signed with Biola University, as two members of the South Coast Conference South Division Falcons (21-10) who have made their next level decision.

As a sophomore, the 6-8 Scott appeared in 26 games and averaged 1.1 points and 1.8 rebounds a game. He was inserted into the starting lineup for the final six games, with Cerritos winning the first five until a second round playoff loss to East Los Angeles College ended their season. In those six games, Scott converted 6-of-13 field goals and pulled down 20 rebounds, including a season-high seven boards against Los Angeles Southwest College. He also blocked seven shots during those starts.

He will be joing a second-year Pioneers team that went 14-13 on the season and finished tied for second place in the California Pacific Conference. Scott will add depth to their center position and a chance to earn quality minutes.
