The Cerritos College men's tennis team clinched an undefeated South Coast Conference season and won their third title in the last four years, as they defeated El Camino College, 6-3 on Thursday. The Falcons (14-3, 6-0) will now embark on a four-match tournament at Fresno City College over the weekend and face Northern California schools.

In the win over the Warriors, the team moved their singles ladder around, except for the top two positions. Sophomore Mark Herrera (Bosco Tech HS) played in the #4 position and pulled out a three-set win, 6-0, 5-7, 6-4, while freshman Nicholas Simonelli (Long Beach Wilson HS) won in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3 at #5.

The Falcons top two singles players remained undefeated, as sophomore Nathan Eshmade (Kings Baptist, Australia HS) recorded a 6-0, 6-0 win, while freshman Amadi Kagoma (Malezi School, Kenya HS) earned a 6-4, 6-2 decision. The two also serve as the team's top doubles pairing, but took the day off.

Simonelli and freshman Sheldon Hseih (Long Beach Poly HS) took over that spot and were defeated. Posting wins in doubles play were the duo of Herrera and freshman Milos Zoric (Gimnazjia Indijija, Serbia HS) with an 8-1 score, while freshmen Simon Graff (Clements, TX HS) and David Evans (Long Beach Wilson HS) pulled out a 9-7 score.
