As the final players remaining in the CCCAA State Championships, the Cerritos College doubles pair of Taylor Heath (Cerritos HS) and Mariia Yatsenko (School 328, Ukraine) were eliminated in the quarterfinals on Saturday. The two were seeded #2 for the state championships and were defeated in straight sets at the Ojai Athletic Club.

Facing #3-seeded Polina Gorshinina and Van Nguyen of De Anza College, Heath and Yatsenko dropped a 1-6, 5-7 decision, which ended their season. The final four doubles teams include two from Northern California and two from Southern California, who will square off against each other on Sunday. Heath and Yatsenko conclude the season with a 19-5 record.
