Cerritos College freshman swimmer Marlon Moreno (Colegio Virgen del Rosario, Venezuela HS) will be the lone representative at the CCCAA State Championships on May 1-3 at East Los Angeles College. Moreno will be competing in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard freestyle. He earned his state qualifying times at the South Coast Conference Championships, with the Falcons coming in fourth place.

Moreno took third at the conference championships in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.00, which is the 14th fastest state qualifying time this year. His time of 48.14 in the 100-yard freestyle was good for fourth place in the conference championships. Moreno is the 27th of 29 qualifiers for the state championships in that event.
