The Cerritos College women's basketball team has announced that four players have signed with four-year colleges. The duo of Marissa Rendon and Angela Pena, who just completed their sophomore seasons in 2013 have signed scholarships with Hope International University and San Diego Christian College, respectively. Armelia Patterson, who played for the Falcons from 2010-12 signed with Waldorf (IA) College, while Talor Hixon has transferred from Xavier University of Louisiana and will join Rendon at Hope International.

Angela Pena has signed to play at San Diego Christian College Rendon was named 1st Team All-SCC for the second season in a row after leading the team with a 13.0 scoring average, while she also accounted for 3.6 rebounds and a team-leading 3.6 assists a game. She led the team with 50 three-pointers made, which included a season-high four in three different games. She scored a career-high 33 points against Fresno City College and added three other 20-point games. As for Pena, she was a 2nd Team All-SCC pick and averaged 11.0 points and 4.6 rebounds a game, while scoring in double-figures in 18 games, including a season-high 20 points against Pasadena City College, where she drained four three-pointers.

Patterson was a 2nd Team All-SCC pick in her sophomore year of 2011-12 and was one of numerous outside shooting threats. She averaged 7.6 points and 5.2 rebounds on the year, and drained 34 three-pointers. As for Hixon, she played her junior season at Xavier University of Louisiana and started 24 games while averaging 1.8 points and 2.9 rebounds a game. Hixon helped the Gold Nuggets win their third consecutive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference title and qualified for the NAIA Division I National Championship for the fourth consecutive season.

Rendon and Hixon will join former Falcon Andrina Rendon at Hope International, where she was named 1st Team All-Golden State Athletic Conference her junior season. Andrina Rendon finished third in the GSAC with a 19.2 scoring average and also added 9.7 rebounds a game for the Royals and led them to the GSAC playoffs.
