The Cerritos College women's basketball team suffered through one of their worst shooting nights in a long time, which resulted in a 70-45 loss to host Los Angeles Trade-Tech College on Wednesday night. The Falcons (14-10) were 17-of-54 from the field, which included an 0-for-13 night from three-point range. The loss was their third in a row and fourth in the last five games. They will look to turn things around on Friday with a 7:00 p.m. game against visiting Pasadena City College.

The team did hold a 20-18 first half lead with 7:22 remaining after a pair of free throws from freshman Verenice Gomez (Whittier HS). But a 10-0 run by LATT - and subsequent 38-12 scoring advantage - put them up by eight points and on their way to the comfortable win.

No Falcon scored in double-figures, although freshman Aissha Baldwin (Mayfair HS) had a team-high nine rebounds in 19 minutes of play. Off the bench, freshman Crystal Lomax (Lynwood HS) netted all three of her shots for six points and pulled down five rebounds, while freshman Ashley Flores (California HS) and Kennedi Cooper (Lakewood HS) each scored four points and combined for eight rebounds. Sophomore Selena Romero (Lakewood HS) led the team with nine points.
