Using crisp passing and an up-tempo offense, the Cerritos College women's basketball team recorded an 88-35 South Coast Conference South Division win over visiting Los Angeles Harbor College on Friday. The Falcons (17-10, 4-1) shot 57% from the field in the second half, as they easily broke open a 10-point halftime advantage. The team will travel to Los Angeles Southwest College on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. game.

Leading the way in the comfortable win was freshman forward Aissha Baldwin (Mayfair HS), who scored the majority of her points on fast break layups, as the Falcons registered 56 points in the paint. Baldwin led all scorers with 20 points and pulled down nine rebounds. The big win enabled Cerritos to use their bench for added minutes and they responded.

Freshman Sydney Lopez (Whittier Christian HS) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds in 15 minutes of action, with freshman Crystal Lomax (Lynwood HS) finishing with eight points and seven rebounds. With each missed Seahawks (8-14, 0-5), Cerritos was off a running, with nine of the 11 players posting at least one assist.

Freshmen Kennedi Cooper (Lakewood HS) and Janel Oliver (Bellflower HS) combined for 13 points and seven rebounds, with Oliver collecting three steals in the span of 90 seconds of play. Sophomore Cassidy Carrillo (St. Paul HS) scored nine of her 14 points in the first half, with sophomore Selena Romero (Lakewood HS) adding eight points and 12 rebounds.
