Playing in their third tournament of the season, the Cerritos College women's basketball team reached the consolation championship game at the Orange Coast Tournament. The Falcons (3-8) opened with a 75-52 loss at the hands of the host Pirates, but came back to defeat College of the Canyons (60-40) to reach the consolation championship game. Facing Irvine Valley College, the team was defeated, 64-42. The Lasers ended the season for Cerritos the last two years in the playoffs. The team will now play in the Fullerton Tournament and will open at 5:00 p.m. against Santa Monica College next Tuesday.

Cerritos vs. Orange Coast: The game started well for the Falcons, as freshman Crystal Rodriguez (El Rancho HS) drained a three-pointer for a quick lead.
