The Cerritos College women's tennis team posted their second win this week, as the defeated visiting Riverside City College, 6-3 on Tuesday. The Falcons (3-1) will travel to Santa Barbara to take on NAIA Westmont College on Thursday.

The match started with the Tigers (3-2) winning two of the three doubles matches. However, Cerritos responded by winning five of the six singles matches in straight sets to post the team win.

The top doubles team of Petra Such (Gyula Illyés, Hungary) and Diviana Bravo (Unidad Educativa Rosa de Jesús Cordero, Ecuador) dropped a close 8-6 match, but both regrouped and started the comeback with their wins at the top of the singles ladder. Such earned a 6-1, 6-1 win, while Bravo dispatched Gabrielle Ante by a 6-4, 6-1 score. Sophomore Danielle Pastor (Bishop Montgomery HS) also won her singles match, 6-1, 6-1 and teamed with sophomore Elizabeth Aceves (Downey HS) for an 8-4 doubles win.

Aceves also earned a win in singles with her 6-4, 6-3 decision at the #4 spot in the ladder, while sophomore Mona Navalta (Norwalk HS) earned the team's other singles win with a 6-4, 6-3 victory.
