On Friday, the Cerritos College men's water polo team extended their winning streak to 13 matches in a row, as they swept Orange Coast College and Palomar College. The Falcons (15-3) posted a 15-8 win in the morning against the Pirates and followed that with a 17-7 victory over the Comets in the afternoon at the Falcon Aquatic Center. The team will now resume South Coast Conference play on Wednesday with a 4:15 p.m. match against visiting Chaffey College.

Cerritos vs. Orange Coast: The Falcons jumped out quickly against the Pirates (4-2) by scoring the first three goals of the game. They used a combination of aggressive defense and solid passing on offense to help extend their lead to 7-2 in the second period. Freshman Israel Rodriguez (Whittier HS) posted four goals in the win, as did sophomore Marlon Moreno (Colegio Virgen del Rosario, Venezuela), who also drew four ejections. Sophomore Alfredo De La Mora (Bell Gardens HS) kept OCC at bay with 12 blocks, while Rodriguez also posted a pair of field blocks. Freshman Jeffrey Park (Cerritos HS) handed out three assists, with the duo of freshmen Angel Rojas (Colegio Fray Luis Amigo, Venezuela) and Jesus Rojas (Colegio Fray Luis Amigo, Venezuela) each posting a pair of assists.
