In their final South Coast Conference match before their post-season tournament, the Cerritos College men's water polo team defeated visiting Los Angeles Trade-Tech College, 16-3. The Falcons (19-6, 5-1) will compete in the Golden West Tournament on October 23-24 and then host the conference tournament two weeks later.

Cerritos opened the game by scoring the first 12 goals before the Beavers were able to get on the scoreboard. Freshman Angel Rojas (Colegio Fray Luis Amigo, Venezuela) posted three of his game-high four goals in the first period, with sophomore Peter Roldan (Downey HS) scored both of his goals in the first period, while also contribiting five steals and four assists on the day.

A trio of players collected four steals against LA Trade-Tech, with sophomore Matthew Skinas (La Serna HS), along with freshmen Israel Rodriguez (Whittier HS) and Jeffrey Park (Cerritos HS) keeping LATT off the scoreboard. Sophomore Marlon Moreno (Colegio Virgen del Rosario, Venezuela) finished with three goals, with Rodriguez and freshman Jacob Graham (La Habra HS) adding a pair of goals.

Freshman goalie Brian Smith (Ocean View HS) played the first three periods and made seven saves, with freshman Ariel Prado-Madera (Buena Park HS) playing the fourth period and posted a pair of blocks.
