With the Cerritos College volleyball season coming to a close, the team is looking to pick up a couple of wins in their final three matches, which will all be home matches at Gahr HS. On Friday, the Falcons (5-13, 4-7) were swept by powerhouse El Camino College, 15-25, 14-25, 13-25 and will now host East Los Angeles College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

In facing the Warriors, Cerritos looked to counter the taller team by attacking the net, but just didn't have enough to make an impact. Playing without one of their top hitters for the third straight match, freshman Susan Suski (Cerritos HS), the Falcons were able to get eight kills from sophomore Latia Peters (Hesperia HS), while freshman Stephanie Ortiz (Huntington Park College Ready Academy HS) finished with five kills on the night.

Sophomore Andrea Garrett (Cerritos HS) added four kills in seven attacks, with freshman Aniga Aiono (Lakewood HS) posting 14 assists and had five digs from the back row. Freshman Ashley Castro (Santa Fe HS) led the team with eight digs for the Falcons.
