The first member of the Cerritos College softball team has signed with a four-year school, as outfielder Jazmine Macias (La Mirada HS) will be playing at Oregon Tech University an NAIA college in Klamath Falls, OR. Macias, who was named to the 3C2A All-State Tournament team las season, will have two years of playing eligibility with the Owls.

As a freshman, Macias was named Honorable Mention All-South Coast Conference after batting .358 with a team-leading eight home runs to go along with 30 RBI. Additionally, she shared the team lead with 17 doubles and was second on the team with 14 stolen bases and 58 hits, while her 41 runs scored also paced the team. While at the 3C2A State Championships, Macias went 5-for-14, with a pair of home runs and a double, with both of her round-trippers coming against Palomar College, while she drove in all three of the team's runs in a 5-3 setback. She helped lead the Falcons back to the state tournament for the first time since 2009 by going 13-for-35 (.429) in the postseason and hit four of her home runs during that time. During the season, Macias had 19 multiple-hit games and had a .942 fielding percentage in the field, along with three outfield assists.

Through the first 10 games this season for the Falcons, Macias is batting .467 (14-for-30) with two doubles, six RBI and ranks third in the state with 13 stolen bases. She's had at least one hit in nine of the games, including four multiple-hit games.

In 2023, the Owls posted a phenomenal 54-10 season record, which included winning the Cascade Conference Tournament championship on their way to the NAIA World Series National Championship game, where they were defeated by Southern Oregon University. They lost to the Raiders twice during the National Championship tournament after going 4-0 against them during the regular season. After their first loss to Southern Oregon, the Owls needed to defeat their rival twice to win the title.

The Owls became the first team in Cascade Conference history to win 29 league contests, secured their second-straight regular-season conference title, won their third-straight CCC Tournament title and advanced to their fourth-straight World Series.

They are currently 8-4 on the year.
