Cerritos College sophomore Jazmine Macias (La Mirada HS), who broke the school record for most stolen bases in a season, was named the New Balance/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Golden Shoe Award recipient. Macias is the third Falcon player to receive the award and joins Joanna Perruccio (2014) and Tena Spoolstra (2019). On the year, Macias stole 52-of-53 bases on the year and broke the old record of 48 stolen bases, which was set by CaPree Williams in 2018.

She stole bases in 31 different games on the year, which included a season-high four against both Santiago Canyon College and East Los Angeles College. Macias was successful on her first 37 attempts before getting caught against Los Angeles Mission College. 

Also an NFCA All-American and 1st Team All-South Coast Conference, Macias finished the season leading the team in batting average (.418), runs (54), hits (61), walks (28) and doubles (17). Macias also clubbed four home runs and drove in 32 runs for the Falcons, while striking out just six times.

For her career, Macias set a school record with 34 doubles, while she also ranks second in stolen bases (66), fourth in runs scored (95), tied for fifth in hits (119) and tied for ninth in walks (42).
