Holding on to a 2-0 lead heading into the sixth inning, freshman pinch-hitter Natalie Fraijo (Charter Oak HS) smashed a three-run home run to help the Cerritos College softball team to a 5-1 win over Los Angeles Harbor College. The win was the fourth in a row for the Falcons (16-7, 7-4), who will travel to El Camino College on Thursday for another 3:00 p.m. South Coast Conference game.

Sophomore shortstop Marley Manalo (Walnut HS) led off with a walk, followed by a single from sophomore first baseman Celeste Carbajal (Mayfair HS). Fraijo then came in to pinch-hit for freshman outfielder Morgan Fontela (Long Beach Millikan HS) and hit her first home run of the season to make it a 5-0 game.

Starting pitcher Reanna Carranza (El Rancho HS) was cruising through the game and was tossing a shutout until the seventh inning. A pair of singles, along with an error, allowed the Seahawks to score their lone run of the game. Carranza (16-7) struck out six on the day and limited LA Harbor to just four hits.

The game started with sophomore outfielder Jazmine Macias (La Mirada HS) leading off with a double and advancing to third on a wild pitch. Sophomore third baseman Natalie Basurto (Walnut HS) then doubled her home and eventually scored on a single by Manalo.
