In the last four games, the Cerritos College women's soccer team has provided their offense with 25 goals, with seven of them coming on Tuesday with a 7-0 home win over El Camino College. And in that same span, the defense and goalkeeping have not allowed a goal, as the nation's top-ranked team improved to 8-0-0 overall and 3-0-0 in the South Coast Conference. They will play their fourth straight home game on Friday when they host a 4:00 p.m. game against East Los Angeles College.

Over the course of the season, the Falcons have outscored their opponents, 44-3 and on Tuesday limited the Warriors (0-8-1, 0-3-0) to two shots, with neither of them on net. As a result, the tandem of sophomore Alexis Carrillo (Bishop Amat HS) and freshman Adrianna Salazar (Downey HS) teamed up for their fourth shared shutout and the team's six of the year.

Sophomore April Juarez (Bishop Amat HS/USC) scored the first two goals of the game to get the scoring started. She chipped in a pass from freshman Nayeli Requejo (Bishop Amat HS) in the 20th minute and followed that with a nice one-timer in the slot off a pass from freshman Carolina Ornelas (Artesia HS) with less than nine minutes left in the first half. It was a 3-0 game before the end of the first half after Ornelas was tackled in the 18-yard box and sophomore Claudia Lopez (Downey HS) stepped up and scored on the penalty kick.

In the second half, it was sophomore Jennifer Torres (Firebaugh HS) who scored a pair of goals, as she closed out the scoring with goals just 12 minutes apart. Requejo started the second half scoring on a one-timer from Ornelas (two assists), while Juarez assisted on a goal from freshman Krista Velasco (Downey HS) in the 65th minute. Freshman Demi Lomeli (Bishop Amat HS) got on the stat sheet with an assist on the first goal from Torres, while Lopez capped off her multi-point game with an assist on the seventh goal of the game.
