On Tuesday, the Cerritos College women's tennis team remained undefeated in South Coast Conference play with their 7-2 win over visiting Mt. San Antonio College. The Falcons (8-1, 3-0) will look to stay unbeaten on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. when they host El Camino College.

In singles play, sophomore Taylor Heath (Cerritos HS) moved into the #1 singles ranking in the conference after her 6-2, 6-2 win over previous #1 Connie Aranguiz. She was joined by four other teammates picking up wins, with three of them in straight sets. In the bottom half of the ladder, freshman Valentina Polonyi (Altisa, Hungary) earned a solid 6-3, 6-1 victory, while sophomore Jovana Milosevic (High School of Business and Law, Serbia) made quick work of Jessica Ulloa in a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Freshman Danielle Pastor (Bishop Montgomery HS) returned to the #6 position and registered a 6-3, 6-4 win.

The singles ladder returned to its normal lineup with the return of sophomore Anastasia Khomyachenko (Sochi, Russia), who missed the last two weeks. She returned to the #2 position in the ladder and posted a hard fought 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 win after teaming up with Heath in an 8-3 loss in the #1 doubles spot.

Polonyi and freshman Tiffany Sanchez (Long Beach Wilson HS) resumed doubles play and posted an 8-3 win, while Milosevic and Pastor reunited for an 8-5 victory.
