Hosting the ITA Regional Championships over the weekend, the Cerritos College women's tennis team was represented by a pair of incoming freshmen. Competing in their first collegiate match, the doubles pairing of freshmen Diviana Bravo (Cuenca, Ecuador) and Petra Such (Budapest, Hungary) were able to advance to the semifinals.

Bravo and Such, who were seeded #4, came up short in a 9-7 decision against eventual champions Tsukimi Ono and Kanako Kihara from Glendale College. In singles play, Such lost to eventual runner-up Hannah Nelson, 6-1, 6-3, while Bravo suffered a 6-2, 6-2 loss at the hands of eventual champion Clarissa Colling of Orange Coast College.

The singles and doubles champions now advance to the ITA National Championships, which start on October 13, in Sunrise, AZ.
