The Cerritos College softball team suffered a 2-0 South Coast Conference South Division loss to Long Beach City College on Thursday. The setback evened the Falcons divisional record at 1-1, while they fell to 11-7 overall. The team will play a non-conference game at 11:00 a.m. at Fullerton College on Saturday.

In the loss, sophomore pitcher Jissel Caballero (Warren HS) suffered the loss, as she allowed both runs in the bottom of the first inning. She allowed just four hits all game, while striking out two batters and didn't allow a walk.

At the plate, sophomore second baseman Kylee Brown (Mayfair HS) collected two of the Falcons hits on the day, while freshman third baseman Rain Vega (La Mirada HS) had the other. Cerritos also drew a pair of walks against the Vikings.
