On the second day of the Oregon Relays, the Cerritos College women's track and field team continued to perform equal to that of four-year schools. The Falcons won both of the relay races held on Saturday, with other members of the team competing in the Pacific (OR) Open. The team will take a little time off before competing in the South Coast Conference Prelims at Long Beach City College on April 26.

Oregon Relays - The 400-meter relay team of freshman Lilian Ebanks (Valencia HS), sophomores Najia Hudspeth (Kennedy HS), Nylia Hudspeth (Kennedy HS) and freshman Meka Story (Gahr HS) posted the fifth fastest time in school history and won the event with a clocking of 46.25. They edged both Northern Colorado University (46.56) and Portland State University (446.58) in a tight race to the wire. Not to be outdone, the 1600-meter relay team also came in first place with a time of 3:51.32, which is five seconds off their personal best time this season. That quartet consisted of the Hudspeth twins, freshman Rabia Hawes (Long Beach Wilson HS) and freshman Juanita Webster (Redlands HS).

Several members of the relay teams also competed in individual events, with the highlight being a third place finish in the triple jump by Webster. Her distance of 12.38 meters puts her second on the college's top five individuals list and trails only Jessica Barfield, who holds the record of 12.65 meters that was set in 2009. Webster also posted a sixth place time in the 100-meter HH at 14.45. Nylia Hudspeth earned fourth place in the 400 meters with a time of 57.14, with Hawes in sixth place at 58.44. As for Ebanks, she posted a sixth place time of 11.94 in the 100 meters, which moved her into fifth on the school's top five individuals list.

Pacific (OR) Open - A trio of Falcon athletes competed in the Pacific (OR) Open and were led by sophomore thrower Jessica Tobias (Bell Gardens HS). She placed second in the hammer with a distance of 44.40 meters, while her discus throw of 31.88 meters earned her eighth place. Sophomore pole vaulter Erica Davis (Fountain Valley HS) took second place when she matched her personal best height of 3.35 meters. In the 800 meters, sophomore Maria Orosco (Katella HS) turned in a third place time of 2:18.22.
