Playing one of the toughest schedules in the state has paid off for the Cerritos College softball team. The Falcons (28-12), who finished second in the competitive South Coast Conference, were seeded #5 for the Southern California Regional Playoffs. They will host #12-seeded Southwestern College in a best-of-three series starting at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Nancy Kelly Field. The second game will take place at noon on Sunday and a third game (if necessary) will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Tickets for the playoffs are $12 for general admission and $8 for students and staff with ID, senior citizens and children under 12.
