The Cerritos College women's tennis team dropped to 7-7 overall and 2-4 in South Coast Conference play with their 9-0 loss to El Camino College on Tuesday. The Falcons will now host Fullerton College at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in a non-conference match.

In the loss to the Warriors (9-0, 5-0), Cerritos fell behind in each of the first sets and were forced to fight back the entire day. In singles play, freshman Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS) continued to battle through her injury, but fell short in her #1 match by a 5-7, 6-7(4) score against Kia Choi. Judan's injury forced her to sit our of doubles play for the third match in a row.

Freshman Patricia Espinosa (Lakewood HS) forced a third set in her #6 singles match against Jessica Castile, but eventually lost, 4-6, 6-4, 4-10, while sophomore Cyd Dionson (Western HS) suffered a competitive 4-6, 4-6 loss in the #4 position. The Falcons were forced to move up both of their teams due to the absence of Judan, and were defeated, 8-2 in both matches.
