W. Tennis: All Falcon players eliminated from tournament

Cerritos College freshman women's tennis player Samantha Judan (Bishop Montgomery HS) picked up more more win in the Southern California Regional Tournament before seeing her season come to an end with a straight set loss in the Round of 16 at the Oxnard Athletic Club on Friday.

In the Round of 32, Judan earned a 7-5, 6-1 win over Katie Stowe of Palomar College, which sent her to the Round of 16 to face #2-seeded Sarah Anderson of Fullerton College. was defeated by Anderson, 0-6, 3-6 and was eliminated from the tournament.

In doubles action, Judan and freshman Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) handed conference opponent Nicole Gandasitusina and Chanelle Ramirez of Mt. SAC a 6-4 6-4 decision, which advanced them to the Round of 16. In that match, the Falcon duo were defeated by #4-seeded Juliana Nelkin and Kaori Tsuda of Santa Monica College, 2-6, 2-6. The other remaining doubles team that got eliminated were sophomore Cyd Dionson (Western HS) and Natali Perez (Lakewood HS), who dropped a 0-6, 0-6 decision to top-seeded Anderson and Victoria Vo of Fullerton College.
