After the first day of the Southern California Regional Tournament, the Cerritos College women's tennis team has two doubles and one singles player remaining. The Falcons, who are competing at Ventura College, will have freshman singles player Samantha Judan (Bishop Montomery HS) playing at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, while she will pair with freshman Rianne Ilagan (Bellflower HS) at 1:00 p.m. in their doubles match. The tandem of sophomore Cyd Dionson (Western HS) and freshman Natali Perez (Lakewood HS) will also play at 1:00 p.m. in a Round of 32 match.

After receiving a bye in the first round of singles play, Judan defeated Kaitelyn Fisher of Sierra College, 6-0, 6-1 in their Round of 64 match and will now take on #7-seeded Candace Stowe of Fresno City College. Dionson was also entered in singles action and opened with a win over Maggie Coleman-Levy of Antelope Valley College before suffering a 3-6, 3-6 loss to Bethany Caldwell of Sierra College and was eliminated.

Judan and Ilagan received an opening round bye and then recorded a 6-2, 6-2 win over Anthonette Dominguez and Courtney Eberly of Cuyamaca College. That pits them against South Coast Conference rivals Nicole Gandasutisna and Chanelle Ramirez of Mt. San Antonio College in their Round of 32 match. As for Dionson and Perez, they handed Taylor Hanson and Shelby Richmond of Shasta College a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 setback, which sends the pair up against top-seeded Sarah Anderson and Victoria Vo of Fullerton College in their Round of 32 match.
