Although they have only played 11 games this season, sophomores Ashley Anaya-Webb (Yorba Linda HS/Cal State Long Beach) and Nayeli Requejo (Bishop Amat HS) are on their way up the Cerritos College women's soccer record book. In the Falcons 8-0 South Coast Conference win over Pasadena City College on Tuesday, Anaya-Webb scored three more times to give her a state-leading 22 on the year, while Requejo amassed three goals and three assists. Her three assists give her 20 on the year, which ties the school's single-season record set by Nancy Gandarilla in 2009. The 22 goals by Anaya-Webb are the sixth most in a season, with Monique Cisneros owning the record of 36 goals in 2008.

The duo teamed together three times on the day for goals, including the first and last. In the sixth minute, Anaya-Webb took a pass off a corner from Requejo and dribbled through the defense before scoring over the goalkeeper. After Requejo converted her sixth penalty kick of the season in the 26th minute, it was a 3-0 Falcon lead when Requejo lifted a pass to freshman Tiffany Castillo (Artesia HS), who chipped the ball in for a goal.

Five more goals were scored in the second half with Requejo scoring in the 56th minute on a one-timer off a crossing pass from sophomore Alex Kidd (La Serna HS/Long Island Brooklyn (NY) University). Requejo scored her third goal a little over a minute later on an open shot after receiving a pass from Anaya-Webb. In the next minute, freshman Loren De Medeiros (Long Beach Wilson HS) fed Anaya-Webb, who went in alone for a clean goal.

Cassie Reyes scored her first goal of the season in the second half Less than four minutes later, sophomore Cassie Reyes (Bishop Amat HS) scored off a nice corner kick feed from sophomore Celinna Montano (Warren HS). With a little over 10 minutes left, the duo closed out the scoring, as Anaya-webb chipped in a shot from Requejo, whose assist tied the school record. It was the first goal of the season for Reyes (pictured, left).

On the day, the goalkeeping tandem of sophomore Adrianna Salazar (Downey HS) and freshman Savannah Pilovsky (Fullerton HS) didn't see any action, as the Lancers never even got to the 18-yard mark. It marked the ninth shutout on the year for the Falcons and fourth in a row.
